Helpdesk

Before logging a computing related help request

You might be able to find the answer to your problem in one of our help pages. Look at the navigation bar on the left of this page for information or browse the Workstation Guide.

How to log a call with the Helpdesk

To log a helpdesk call simply send e-mail with your request to the appropriate address:

  • Physics IT Helpdesk: General office computing, workstations, Xterminals, printers, or network access. Workstations covered include Newt, Roen, Lizard, and Goliath.

  • Astrophysics IT Helpdesk: Computing in the Department of Astrophysics and Optics. Workstations covered include Bat and Astro.

Login

The Helpdesk interface is intended for use by IT systems managers, IT Helpdesk operators or delegated staff and students. It is not provided solely for computing matters and may be used by any group in the School that requires Helpdesk functionality. A login and password are required to use the Helpdesk.
