Contents

Note that this document may not always precisely reflect the software installed on the Physics workstations even though effort is made to keep the list as up to date as possible. Refer also to the contents of /usr/local and /usr/local/bin for an idea of local software available on the Physics workstations.

For Fortran documentation and some helpful information on other languages please refer to the "Compiling programs" link in the Physics Workstation Guide.

Information on DXML which encompasses BLAS and LAPACK can be found in the UNIX man pages (start with the command 'man -k dxml | more').

Documentation for other packages may be in the form of man pages or might be found in files in the /usr/local/doc or /usr/local/share/doc directory hierarchies on the workstations. Some packages have "info" pages which can be accessed from Emacs' info mode (meta-x info) or by using the standalone info browser (start with the command 'info').
